IT'S WHIMSY JOY

Summer isn't over yet. But do we really need to moisturize in the summer? Living in a tropical country like the Philippines can do a lot of damage to our skin, especially during summertime. Moisturizing? How hard can it be? A lot of people feel like their skin becomes greasier and oilier but in fact, when the temperatures are increased, the more that we should hydrate and moisturize even if we have oily skin. Moisturizing is an essential part of our skincare routine. We just need to lather an ample amount of product all over our skin and voila!

I was on the hunt of trying something new again and then one night while I was watching youtube videos I came across this Fresh Skinlab Jeju Aloe Ice Soothing Gel Lotion. It totally caught my attention and got so curious because a lot people are raving about this skin care product, but unfortunately it's always out of stock.

So for today's blog post, I'm going to review this aloe soothing gel lotion that has been making some noise in the market.

Fresh Skinlab Jeju Aloe Ice Soothing Gel Lotion 300ml that I bought from Watsons for only 199php.

White in color, translucent gel that transforms into a gel-like watery substance once you apply it into the skin. I use this everyday at night before bedtime. And on the next day, my skin feels so soft, firm and very much hydrated.

HOW TO USE?
> Apply a generous amount to soothe dry skin. To feel a more soothing effect, store the product for about 30 minutes in the fridge then apply.

PROS:
Formula - smooth and creamy and it glides easily on the skin. It leaves my skin fresh, so smooth and hydrated. Love the soothing effect. It reduces itchiness, dryness and repairs skin texture and it works like magic.
Scent - Smells good. Not that overwhelming.
Price - Super affordable. Costs only 199php

CONS:
Packaging - The tub is big enough and feels a bit heavy. Unhygienic and not travel-friendly. I wish they have that squishy tube container . Hehe!
Icy cooling effect claim - Thought it would have that cooling effect as the product container shows but you have to place it first on the fridge for about 20-30mins to get that icy feeling.
Greasy - it gives you that greasy feeling upon application.
Dries slowly - it takes time to dry and absorbed by the skin.

I've been using this jeju aloe gel ice for a month now and I can honestly say that my skin is getting better. No breakouts, no tiny bumps that are appearing while using the product. This is a multipurpose gel that can be use as a facial mask and can also be use as a moisturizer before putting your makeup on. I highly recommend this product for all skin types and bet will work even for sensitive skin. For me, this is a must buy moisturizer! So there you have it guys! Hope you are all well and thanks again for being here!

I'm so back, guys! You probably didn't notice I was gone but I sure did. Hehe! In today's blog entry, I am going to review the most talked about makeup brushes and constantly raved about across the internet, the Anne Clutz Ultimate Beginner Brush Set.

Makeup is plausibly the best thing since sliced bread, but it's useless unless you have the right tools to apply it. If there's as right as rain and absolutely necessary in the makeup industry, I think it's having the right brushes to use in the makeup application. Using the right tools really makes a lot of difference and these makeup tools can honestly make or break our look.

If you are a makeup enthusiast like me and always looking for affordable makeup products, effective skincare regimens, makeup tutorials, first impressions and reviews then for sure you know who is Anne Clutz. Anne Clutz is a Pinay Youtuber who does makeup videos and daily vlogs. One thing I love about her is that she always gives detailed and honest reviews.

Here's the Anne Clutz Beginner Makeup Brushes, a 10-piece synthetic brush set. I bought it online for only 500php and it comes with a black pouch with a phrase saying "Blend now, Awra later!"

This set includes:

1. Powder Brush
    - I use this powder brush to set my foundation. I like this brush because it's very smooth, soft and gentle plus the size is big enough to quickly go over my whole face.

2. Blush Brush
    - One of my favorites. It works amazingly. With its size, it gets the job done more easier and faster.

3. Contour Brush
    - I'm not a fan of contouring but I tried this brush and surprisingly it works greatly in blending out the product.

4. Flat Angled Kabuki Brush
    - My personal favorite. This is what I use for my foundation. Even though sometimes it leaves my  foundation streaky, still, with the help of your blending skills this will help you achieve a natural and flawless finish.

5. Fan Brush
    - I use my fingers whenever I apply my highlighter. When I tried this fan brush it gave me minimal effect compared to what I usually do.

6. Big Blending Brush
    - Perfect tool I use to create and blend over a simple or smokey eye makeup.

7. Eyeshadow Shader Brush
    - I use this tool to blend the harsh lines on my eye makeup.

8. Concealer Brush
    -  I use this to apply concealer and to spot conceal blemishes. Too big but it does the job.

9. Small Eyeshadow Brush
    - I use this tool to blend my eye makeup and  to contour the nose and jawline as well. It won't make your makeup look too defined.

10. Small Angled Brush
      - For me, I think this brush is too thick for an eyebrow applicator. I usually use thin brushes for my eyebrows so I can make precise lines. And another downside is that it doesn't have a spoolie at the other end for much easier application.

Overall, this is a good brush set for everyday use and I highly recommend this not only for the beginners but to all makeup junkies out there. And oh, do you know what's my favorite thing about this set? It's the price! 500php for 10 pieces of good quality brushes? Very affordable, right? This set is already a steal!

Hello, lovelies! Happy new year to all of us! I hope the year started on a good note for you. This is my first ever blog post for the year 2019 and I'm quite excited to share with you our latest trip and adventure together with my husband's family in Ilocos Norte. Nothing beats family bonding and adventures really and it never gets old even though we've done it about a hundred times already.

Anyway, if there's one thing I love about Ilocos, it is the factuality that this Province is the home of the many century-old amazing structures in the Philippines. And if you're looking for a place of an adrenaline induced adventures and great sceneries, this is the perfect trip for you.

One of the places you must visit is the fascinating and the famous Paoay Church. This is also known as the Saint Augustine Church and is considered to be one of the oldest and one of the most beautiful churches in the Philippines. So we left La Union December 28 at about 8 in the morning, it was a long drive, reaching Ilocos Norte at 1pm. We immediately proceeded to our first stop - the Paoay Church. And to be honest, this is already my second visit of the church and was still very delighted to see it, inside and out. What's the nice thing about this trip? We got to enjoy the gloomy and windy weather, perfect condition for a family adventure!

This is breathtakingly beautiful. The church is made up of large coral stones and baked bricks with 24 enormous buttresses on both sides and at the back which is the most striking feature of the church, a prime example of "Earthquake Baroque". It supports its walls, preventing it from possible destruction from earthquakes. Adjacent to this beautiful church is the three-storey bell tower which is also made up of coral stones and was used as an observation post of the Katipuneros during the World War II.

Truly a beautiful piece of history. And Ohhhh, I'm so in love with its long aisle, perfect for every bride's momentous walk while his groom awaits in front of the altar. :)

We walked around and had lucky chances to catch some glimpses of these enchanting views. After strolling on those beautiful sights, it's time for us to have our lunch. We decided to try out the Smoke Bar and Restaurant where you can see the best view of the Paoay Church.

Me and my husband Dino posing in front of the Paoay Church. Feels like we've been transported back into the early Spanish period and into the old world.  Believe me when I tell you, you shouldn't miss this majestic church when visiting Ilocos Norte. It's totally worth the drive!

We continued our journey by visiting another interesting spot in Paoay which is the Sand Dunes! This place is perfect for adventure seekers but not for the faint-hearted people because this activity requires endurance and energy. You've got to experience some sort of adrenaline rush moments.

Once we reached our destination, we spotted an enormous 4x4 rides. Each ride is good for 4-5 persons amounting to 2500php including the 4x4 jeep, the driver's fee, the sand dunes adventure and the sand boarding activity that will last for an hour.

We had a normal ride for about 3-5 minutes not until the mighty sand dunes greeted us. I can't believe that this adventure would joggle the hell out of me. I'm not the type of person who prefers this kind of activity but I agreed to at least give it a try. It literally weakened my knees. Promise! HAHA. But during our ride, all we do is laugh, shout and scream at the top of our lungs. With all the bumpy roads, the sharp curves and turns, the high elevations, the high and sudden drops.. it was one hell of a ride. But in all fairness, I can say that I really did enjoy the ride.

We stopped and stepped down the jeep to take some photos and enjoy the view as well. And after the photo opportunities, we're off again for a more exciting and heart-pumping ride.

Few minutes left, we approached the sand boarding area--something neither of us had done it before. Then I started seeing people falling into sand and had me really worried that it might give us potential injuries. That is why I did not attempt to try it; also for the reason that I am not that flexible enough to do such stunts. Kudos to my sis and bro-in-law for having such courage to do sand boarding.

So far, this is one of the most incredibly awesome adventure ride that I've ever had. Let me know what's the most adventurous thing you've ever done and what activities you enjoyed the most! That's all I have for you this time and I'll see you on my next adventure!
